        These are just a few favorites from the last month. It seems like this month has been a big one for changes. You started crawling, eating lots more foods, copying what we do (your big thing right now is copying us when we cough so you will hear us cough and then fake cough back at us), you got your first ear infection which has not been fun for any of us, you got your first tooth, and lots more daily changes that we love to experience with you. I know I’ve probably told you before but you are such a sweet girl. You are always smiling, even when you are miserable and not feeling well at all you will still crack a smile for us. You hug me now when I come pick you up from daycare and it melts my heart every time. You and your dad are really buddies…you play all the time and he even got to stay home with you yesterday when you just weren’t feeling well and I think that was special for both of you. You still aren’t sleeping great, especially with this darn ear infection, but there are a few nights that you only wake up 2 or 3 times which is a huge blessing. We couldn’t ask for a better baby and we KNOW how lucky we are to have such a sweet girl for our daughter. Thanks baby girl. xxoo

FOOD!!!!

      December 10th...REAL FOOD...well if you call oatmeal cereal real food?! You weren't quite sure what to think about it but you enjoyed trying something that we seemed really interested in. Since then we have moved on to carrots, mangos, peaches, apples, pears, squash, peas and a few other things. Your favorite by far is carrots and apples. You are not a fan of squash or sweet potatoes which I'm a little bummed about because we love them so much. You are a good little eater except for when your kitties decide to walk around your high chair and meow...then all you want to do is pay attention to them. You like it most when Dad feeds you because he's really good at airplane noises and making you laugh and you smile and open your mouth for every bite. It's maybe the cutest thing ever. I love to see the look on your face when you try something new...it's a bit of a mix between disgust and curiosity. Cracks me up every time. xxoo

Another Beach Trip

       I had a few days off so your Grandma came up for an extra long weekend and we headed to the beach house for some rest and relaxation. It was just what we all needed. Your dad came out for the weekend and we just spent the days going for walks on the beach, sleeping in, taking naps, eating out, and spending the majority of the time just enjoying being around you. Your tooth finally broke through the gums and man is that sucker sharp. No wonder you were being a little needy and snotty (literally had snot coming from your nose...not being snotty :) ) as heck. You also started full on crawling while we were out there. Before you had been doing a bit of a scoot backwards and using your upper body to move yourself around but it seemed like overnight you just figured it out and then there was no stopping you. There was also a cute moment when you were giving the baby on the diaper package kisses on the mouth. It was so sweet and we all had a good laugh about it. I miss you so much during the week when I have to go to work so it was extremely nice to just spend the days with you and not have to worry about missing out on anything. Love you sweet girl. Thanks for a great mini-vaca.

Falling In Love

         It goes without saying that being a mom has been the best thing I've ever done. I'm sitting here watching you play around on the floor crawling all around and my heart just feels completely full. I knew being a mom would be great but I had no idea I would literally fall in love with the new role. It has made me know myself better, made my relationships stronger and made me understand more of what I want out of life for my family and me. That being said it has been far from easy. It has consisted of sleepless nights, a toll on my body, stress on the relationship with the love of my life, less times with family and friends because it's just not as easy to get up and go like it used to be, but all of that has also made everything even better strangely enough. The sleepless nights mean I'm spending good time with a sweetie at 2am that no one else gets to see. The toll on my body is just a reminder of what a miracle YOU, our little girl are. The stress it has brought to the relationship with D and I just makes us stronger as a couple and know and love each other on a deeper level and hopefully means we can handle anything life brings our way. And the time with family and friends is much sweeter because we appreciate every chance we do get with them. I've always felt a little lost...never really sure where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do but the moment I held you...it's like that vanished...it was clear. I'm completely in love with being your mom sweet girl and I look forward to the rest of our lives together.

New Years And Birthday

       New Years is also Mama's Birthday. It was a wonderful day that started out perfect by meeting Heather and Lyla for ladies pedicures. You and Lyla did so good sitting in your mom's laps. Then we did a little shopping and had some lunch. I took you home after that hoping you would take a good long snooze but of course I think you could sense the excitement of the party festivities later to come so you just wouldn't have it. I knew we were in for a bit of a rough evening after that. But we got to Heather and Danny's for some dinner and drinks and wow did Heather out do herself. She had a beautifully decorated table with place cards and she made a delicious meal. Abbie, Josh, Carson and Landon came too and it was great!! You lasted until about 9 o'clock when you decided you were maxed out so we went home and hit the hay early but it was a wonderful wonderful Birthday and I wouldn't have spent it any other way. Thank you for making this year the best of my life baby girl. Mama loves you to the moon and back...and maybe even there again :) xxoo
