Feeling like a giant house

You are getting so BIG!!

Well I officially feel like a giant HOUSE!! You have gotten so big that your kicks hurt and when you do what I can only assume is somersaults and practicing to become a world class gymnast in my tummy... it looks pretty creepy.  Sort of like an alien has taken over my body from the inside and is trying to find a way out. ;)  Last night it was 86 degrees...yes 86 degrees in MAY and I was roasting.  So we sat with fans blowing from all directions and my belly exposed and just watched you for hours rolling around in there.  I definitely no longer walk...but waddle (which we try and do every night around the neighborhood) and my skin is so tight it feels like it might just rip.  Everyone says you get to that point where you feel like you can't get any bigger...and then you just do...I guess that's the stage we are currently at right now.  You no longer sleep quietly at night but rather think it's the perfect time to practice tap dancing on my bladder!!!  You...my sweet sweet Hannah have gotten so big that I think my stomach is literally in my throat which means the heartburn is no longer something I can only feel but now even better I CAN TASTE IT!!  I know it sounds like I'm complaining right now but I'm really not, I'm just documenting this all so I can use it against you later in life :) I hope you continue to get bigger and bigger and keep dancing your little heart out in my ever growing belly.  The best part of my day is watching you move around and getting to feel you move...I DO truly love it!! We love you sweet girl!! XXOO

Papa Jack came to cheer the boys on

On Sunday May 5th your Dad and Uncle Quintin woke up around 545am to run the Tacoma City Half Marathon.  A year ago your dad, Auntie Abbie and I all ran the 5k version and it was super fun!  This year I obviously was not able to run but Auntie Abbie continued on with her 5K tradition and your dad and Uncle Q went for the big boy...the half.  They weren't sure if they would be able to run together at the same pace but it ended up that they ran about 3/4 of the race together and finished only 3 minutes or so apart.  They were both dog tired after the race but I think loved being able to do it together.  Your Grandma Sandi and I watched and waited patiently and Papa Jack even drove all the way from BG just to see the boys cross the finish line.  It was a great way to end Uncle Q's two week visit.  Very proud of them.

More fun while Q's here

Summit Club Rainiers game

BBQing on the patio

Like I said before, when your Uncle Q is here it is always an adventure!! We had a blast just hanging out, making dinner, watching a Rainiers game and just enjoying having the family together.  The Rainiers game was super fun and quite eventful.  There were home runs, excellent catches and outs, and even a manager from the other team throwing a FIT and getting ejected from the game.  Auntie Abbie came with us to the game and it was fun to have both your Aunt and Uncle there.

Love seeing Lyla and "Uncle Damien" together

On April 30th your Aunt Heather turned 30!! A little background for you....Heather and I have been friends since 2nd grade and it has been an amazing friendship ever since.  We have been there for each other through just about everything you can think of and I hope you are lucky enough to have a bestfriend like her one day.  As you can see from the pictures our looks may have changed over the years but our friendship has only grown stronger. Who would have ever thought that we would live blocks away from each other, our guys would become best friends too and we would all spend countless nights having dinners and laughing all night long.... and in Tacoma no less?!?  It is one of the things I'm most thankful for in my life.  We have loved watching Lyla grow up over the last four years and can't wait for them to watch you....our little Hannah Banana grow up too.  They may not technically be family but they are something even better...family we got to choose!  I know you and Lyla will have many years of laughing and playing together just like Heather and I have had.

The boys head to Eugene...while mom and grandma play.

Early Friday morning your dad and Uncle Q set off for Eugene to go to a Duck's spring football game with Uncle Brian, Aunt Nikki, and cousins.  They made a stop in Salem to visit your Great Grandma Jackie at the Oregon State Capital.  She is a senator in Oregon and she showed them around the capital and I think they were both in awe of everything she did there.  They also got to meet up with their Uncle Bill and meet their cousin Whitney for the first time and they all went to lunch.  They then headed down to Eugene where they met up with Uncle Brian, Aunt Nikki, Mercedez and Chase.  As you can see from the pictures they had a blast!! By the time your dad and uncle Q came home on Sunday they were wiped out and in need of a good nights sleep.

I stayed behind and took some time to relax while the boys were away.  Your Grandma and Grandpa Chevalier were staying with Great Great Uncle Ralph so we headed out there and your Grandma and I decided to enjoy a girls afternoon.  We did a little shopping for you at a baby store and found some super cute BabyLegs (Aunt Trish dressed sweet Leah in them and I fell in love), and a few other cute clothes for you.  Then we headed to Poulsbo, which I had never been to.  We stopped first to have lunch at a cute little place called Mor Mor Bistro and had a lovely lunch.  Then we headed to the Poulsbo Central Market.  It was huge and amazing and I can't wait to go back!! It was a perfect day with your Grandma and reminded me of when we used to live closer to them and would have lots of lunch and shopping girls days.  We talked a lot about you and how fun it will be when you can join in on our girls afternoons.

A visit from Uncle Q

Owen Beach

Your bear was a big hit with Lyla

YAY your Uncle Quintin comes to visit!! Yep...he looks familiar doesn't he?!?  That's because your dad is a twin.  Your dad and his brother Quintin are identical twins and look very very much alike.  Uncle Q is in the Air Force and lives in Louisiana so we don't get to see him as much as we would like but we were lucky enough to get to spend two whole weeks with him and it was quite the adventure. He got here on a Monday and we had our usual weekly dinner with your Uncle Danny, Aunt Heather and of course your BF Lyla.  It was a blast and as you can see from the picture Lyla was testing out your Doggy and I think it was a hit.  During the day since your dad had to work, Quintin and I spent the afternoons trying to soak up the beautiful weather we were blessed with.  We spend a few days out at Owen Beach and I even burnt my nose one day (shows you how little the sun has been out lately).

Luckily before your Uncle Q heads to South Korea for a year he will be coming here in July so don't you worry, you will get to meet him in your first months.  I'm sure you'll love him and find him to be just as entertaining and a blast as we do.  Love you baby girl!! xxoo

32 Weeks...and a little more shopping...I know I know...I must be stopped!!

Rocking Moose from the sale and adorable Sock Monkey from one of my favorite customers

Amazingly large plush dog

Jeans are pretty uncomfortable so dresses and leggings are my attire for the most part

Hard to believe how big you are getting

32 weeks have gone by and time is starting to fly.  Everyone told me this would happen but now that it's here it's really amazing just how fast the weeks are going.  It seems like just yesterday that we were finding out about our little miracle (yes that's you!), and now it's only 8 weeks away from you being here with us! You are growing so much baby girl and it's shocking to look in the mirror and see just how much you grow in only a week.  You are getting so big that jeans are officially uncomfortable so I spend most of the time in leggings or some sort of stretchy material.  We have been super lucky though because your Aunt Trish and Aunt Heather were kind enough to give me lots of maternity clothes that are adorable so I have had plenty to wear along the way.

On Saturday we were invited by Auntie Abbie and Uncle Josh's Mom to head out to Silverdale/Bremerton to check out a consignment sale.  It was a great afternoon and we ended up finding lots of goodies.  Among them was this sweet little rocking moose that I am in love with and hope you enjoy it too (even though it's going to be a tad too big for you for awhile).  You also received your first Sock Monkey from one of my very favorite customers.  It's adorable and so kind of her to think of us and give us such a sweet gift. Another one of my latest purchases is this HUGE plush dog.  Your Aunt Trish and Uncle Roland have a very similar moose for little Leah and I instantly wanted one.  It came in the mail from Costco and I have to say I'm even more in love with it in person.  It's huge, it's soft and it's very cuddle friendly.

31 Weeks

You are big enough to be very noticeable but still not too big to make me too uncomfortable :)

We went on a few dinner dates this week. This picture was a family dinner at Masa with your Great Uncle and Aunt Ethan and Brenda, cousins Allie, Will, and Nathaniel and your Auntie Abbie.

On Sunday we took in our first Rainiers game of the year.

Another picture from Masa

Happy 31 weeks baby girl! I'm finally feeling back to normal from all the sickness, so we took full advantage this week by going on a few outings.  We went to dinner with your Great Uncle Ethan, Great Aunt Brenda, Cousins Allie, Will and Nathaniel and of course your Auntie Abbie was there too.  It was a great evening out with family and they were all amazed at how big you and I had gotten.  They are all so excited to meet you and I can't wait for you to know and love them as much as we do.

On Sunday the sun was out and we decided it was the perfect afternoon to take in our first Rainiers game.  It was still a little chilly so we brought our jackets and a blanket which was a good thing too because at some points during the game we even got hailed on.  Despite the crazy weather it was a perfect afternoon and we can't wait till you are here and can take it all in with us.
